Plano: Bigger Than You Think!
Plano, Texas is not only the ninth most populous city in the state of Texas, but it is also the 70th most populous city in the United States. It is home to many corporate headquarters: Dell Services, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Frito-Lay, Rent-A-Center, Toyota Motors USA, and many more. This means fresh job opportunities are abound in its 72 square miles. After a day at the office or on-site, you will have little issue finding something fun to do with the city's abundance of indoor and outdoor activities. Although Plano is named for the flat plains of the area, it houses Bob Woodruff Park and Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, which are known for its large trees. The city of Plano also owns and operates three performing arts venues under the Parks and Recreation Department including the Courtyard Theater, the Cox Playhouse, and the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park. Even if you want to escape for the weekend, Dallas is only 20 miles northeast of Plano, making any impromptu getaway a realistic possibility!
